Description

This Best Grilled Cheese Burrito combines the classic comfort of a grilled cheese sandwich with the fun and flavor of a burrito! Packed with melted cheese, seasoned beef, and wrapped in a warm, crispy tortilla, it’s an indulgent fusion meal perfect for lunch or dinner. Quick and easy to make, this savory treat is sure to become a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/4 cup sour cream (for serving)

  • 1/4 cup salsa (for serving)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

 

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning on the inside of both tortillas.

  • Place the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on one of the tortillas, making sure it’s evenly spread. Add the cooked ground beef (if using) in the middle of the cheese.

  • Top with the second tortilla, pressing down gently.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet and place the prepared burrito in the skillet. Grill each side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove from heat.

 

  • Serve with a side of sour cream and salsa for dipping.


Notes

  • For an extra twist, try adding some jalapeños or sautéed onions to the burrito filling for added flavor.

 

  • Feel free to use a combination of different cheeses based on your preference.
