- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely diced

Instructions

- Add cheese and milk: Reduce the heat to low, add the shredded white American cheese and milk to the softened vegetables, and stir continuously until the cheese melts fully and the mixture is smooth.
- Adjust consistency with broth: Slowly stir in the low sodium chicken broth, adding gradually until you reach your preferred dip consistency.
- Incorporate fresh ingredients: Stir in the chopped cilantro and finely diced tomatoes to add freshness and color to the dip.
- Season: Taste the queso dip and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper as desired.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with extra chopped cilantro or a spoonful of Pico de Gallo before serving to enhance the presentation and flavor.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño to control the spice level according to your preference.
- Use low sodium chicken broth to keep the saltiness balanced and health-conscious.
- White American cheese provides a creamy texture and mild flavor, but you can substitute with other white melting cheeses if needed.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips for the best dipping experience.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat gently on low heat to avoid curdling.
