Description

Indulge in the creamy richness of this luscious White Chocolate Frosting that perfectly complements any dessert with its velvety texture and sweet flavor.

Ingredients

White Chocolate:

6 oz white chocolate (finely chopped or chips)

Butter:

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

Powdered Sugar:

2 1/2 to 3 cups powdered sugar

Heavy Cream:

1/4 cup heavy cream (plus more as needed)

Vanilla Extract:

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Salt:

pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (double boiler) or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. Beat Butter and Chocolate: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the melted white chocolate and beat until fully combined.
  3. Add Sugar and Cream: Gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating on low until incorporated. Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Beat Until Smooth: Beat on high for 2 to 3 minutes until the frosting is smooth, fluffy, and spreadable. Adjust cream for desired consistency.

Notes

  • Ensure the melted chocolate has cooled before mixing to prevent separation.
  • This frosting pairs well with vanilla, lemon, or raspberry cakes.
  • Yields enough for a 2-layer 9-inch cake or 24 cupcakes.
