Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 cup ricotta cheese
 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest
 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 - Salt, to taste
 - Black pepper, to taste
 - Fresh herbs (such as thyme or basil), for garnish
 - Honey, for drizzling (optional)
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
 - Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
 - Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
 - In a food processor, whip the ricotta cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth and fluffy.
 - Season the whipped ricotta with salt and pepper to taste.
 - Spread whipped ricotta onto each crostini.
 - Garnish with fresh herbs and a drizzle of honey if desired.
