Description

These Wedge Salad Skewers are a fun twist on a classic salad, perfect for parties or gatherings. Crisp iceberg lettuce, savory bacon, juicy cherry tomatoes, and tangy blue cheese come together on a skewer for a delightful appetizer.

Ingredients

Lettuce:

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into bite-sized wedges

Bacon:

  • 12 slices cooked bacon, cut into chunks

Tomatoes:

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Blue Cheese:

  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles

Red Onion:

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

Dressing:

  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing, for drizzling or dipping

Seasoning:

  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Skewers:

  • Wooden skewers or cocktail picks

Instructions

  1. Thread Ingredients: Carefully thread a wedge of iceberg lettuce, a piece of bacon, and a cherry tomato onto each skewer.
  2. Layer Skewers: Repeat the layers until the skewer is full, finishing with a sprinkle of red onion and blue cheese crumbles on top.
  3. Arrange: Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
  4. Drizzle: Drizzle with blue cheese or ranch dressing just before serving, or serve dressing on the side for dipping.
  5. Season: Finish with freshly cracked black pepper to taste.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and add cucumber slices or avocado chunks.
  • You can prep all components ahead of time and assemble right before serving for maximum crunch.
