Description
A refreshing and healthy Watermelon Strawberry Smoothie combining juicy watermelon, sweet strawberries, and a hint of lime. Perfect for a quick, hydrating drink that’s naturally sweetened and easy to prepare in just minutes.
Ingredients
Fruits
- 2 cups cubed watermelon (seeds removed)
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- Juice of 1/2 lime
Liquids
- 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
Sweeteners & Extras
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Ice cubes (optional for extra chill)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Cube the watermelon and remove any seeds. Measure out the strawberries, coconut water, and lime juice.
- Blend Smoothie Base: Add the cubed watermelon, strawberries, coconut water, honey or maple syrup (if using), and lime juice into a blender. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed to ensure even blending.
- Add Ice (Optional): If you prefer a colder, thicker smoothie, add ice cubes to the blender and blend again until smooth and well combined.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with a slice of lime or a few fresh strawberry slices for a decorative touch.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen strawberries depending on availability; frozen will make the smoothie colder and thicker.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup if desired, or omit for a naturally sweetened drink.
- For a thinner consistency, add more coconut water or regular water.
- This smoothie is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Seeds should be removed from watermelon to avoid bitterness in the smoothie.
