- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Dissolve Yeast: In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir in sugar, milk, egg, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms, then add the softened butter.
- Knead Dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.
