Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for coating blueberries)
  • Coarse sugar for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare the muffin tin.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Add Blueberries: Toss blueberries in flour and fold gently into the batter.
  6. Bake: Fill muffin cups, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 20–24 minutes.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let muffins cool before enjoying!

Notes

  • Using sour cream or Greek yogurt keeps the muffins moist.
  • For frozen blueberries, do not thaw before adding to the batter.
