Description

This Ultimate Chicken Casserole is a comforting and hearty dish perfect for a family dinner. Creamy and packed with flavors, it’s an easy casserole that will quickly become a favorite.


Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 2 cups egg noodles (cooked and drained)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Additional Ingredients:

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots (thawed)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine chicken, noodles, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, milk, peas and carrots, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Assemble: Transfer mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add Topping: Mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use rotisserie chicken and add crispy bacon bits.
  • Try broccoli or green beans for a different vegetable mix.
