Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought, gluten-free verified)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
For Cooking
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
For Garnish
- Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat and Mix Caesar Sauce: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a small bowl, combine the Caesar dressing, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), grated Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a good sear and better sauce adhesion.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and sear each side for 2–3 minutes until they develop a golden-brown crust. The chicken does not need to be cooked completely through at this stage. Remove the skillet from heat.
- Apply Caesar Mixture: Evenly spread the prepared Caesar dressing mixture over the top of each seared chicken breast, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
- Bake the Chicken: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
- Rest and Garnish: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the chicken moist. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with pasta, rice, or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
- For added texture and crunch, sprinkle crushed croutons or toasted breadcrumbs on top of the chicken during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Ensure the Caesar dressing used is gluten-free if dietary restrictions require it.
