Description

Delicious and easy-to-make turkey and cheese sliders featuring tender sliced turkey and melted cheese on buttery slider buns, seasoned with a flavorful garlic and mustard butter sauce. Perfect for gatherings, parties, or a tasty snack.

Ingredients

Slider Buns

  • 12 slider buns

Filling

  • 1 pound sliced turkey breast
  • 12 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)

Butter Sauce

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Slider Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the halves completely, so they stay connected for easy assembly.
  3. Mix Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir the ingredients thoroughly to create a flavorful butter sauce.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the buns into a greased baking dish. Layer the sliced turkey evenly over the buns, followed by the cheese slices on top.
  5. Add Top Buns: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese layers to complete the assembly.
  6. Brush with Butter Sauce: Generously brush the prepared butter mixture over the top of the buns to add flavor and help them brown nicely during baking.
  7. Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to retain moisture and prevent the sliders from drying out. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove Foil and Finish Baking: Take off the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns turn golden brown.
  9. Slice and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly. Slice into individual sliders and garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of cheese, such as cheddar, Swiss, or provolone, to customize flavor.
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can enhance the presentation and add a fresh note.
  • For a spicy kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the butter sauce.
  • Prepare these sliders ahead of time and bake just before serving for best freshness.
  • Great for parties and easy to serve as finger food.
