Ingredients
Slider Buns
- 12 slider buns
Filling
- 1 pound sliced turkey breast
- 12 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
Butter Sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Garnish
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Slider Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the halves completely, so they stay connected for easy assembly.
- Mix Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir the ingredients thoroughly to create a flavorful butter sauce.
- Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the buns into a greased baking dish. Layer the sliced turkey evenly over the buns, followed by the cheese slices on top.
- Add Top Buns: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese layers to complete the assembly.
- Brush with Butter Sauce: Generously brush the prepared butter mixture over the top of the buns to add flavor and help them brown nicely during baking.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to retain moisture and prevent the sliders from drying out. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove Foil and Finish Baking: Take off the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns turn golden brown.
- Slice and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly. Slice into individual sliders and garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.
Notes
- Use your favorite type of cheese, such as cheddar, Swiss, or provolone, to customize flavor.
- Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can enhance the presentation and add a fresh note.
- For a spicy kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the butter sauce.
- Prepare these sliders ahead of time and bake just before serving for best freshness.
- Great for parties and easy to serve as finger food.
