These Tuna Melt Grilled Sandwiches are a classic comfort food perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Creamy tuna salad with melted cheese sandwiched between slices of bread and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
Tuna Salad:
- 2 (5-ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill pickles or relish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Assembly:
- 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
Instructions
- Prepare Tuna Salad: In a medium bowl, mix drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, red onion, pickles, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Lay out bread slices, top each with cheese, spoon tuna mixture over, add another slice of cheese and bread. Butter outsides.
- Grill Sandwiches: Heat a skillet, cook sandwiches 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
