Description

These Tuna Melt Grilled Sandwiches are a classic comfort food perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Creamy tuna salad with melted cheese sandwiched between slices of bread and grilled to perfection.


Ingredients

Tuna Salad:

  • 2 (5-ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill pickles or relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Assembly:

  • 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare Tuna Salad: In a medium bowl, mix drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, red onion, pickles, salt, and pepper.
  2. Assemble Sandwiches: Lay out bread slices, top each with cheese, spoon tuna mixture over, add another slice of cheese and bread. Butter outsides.
  3. Grill Sandwiches: Heat a skillet, cook sandwiches 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
