Description

Trader Joe’s Lobster Bisque Pasta is a decadent, crowd-pleasing meal that harnesses the rich, creamy lobster bisque soup from Trader Joe’s and pairs it with perfectly cooked pasta and tender chunks of lobster meat. With minimal prep and big flavors, this elegant dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions when you want to impress with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Pasta

  • 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)

Lobster Bisque Sauce

  • 1 (17-ounce) container Trader Joe’s Lobster Bisque
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Lobster & Garnishes

  • 8 ounces cooked lobster meat, chopped (or shrimp as substitute)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, and set aside.
  2. Heat the Bisque: In a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Pour in the Trader Joe’s Lobster Bisque and stir until warmed through, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Enrich the Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  4. Add Lobster & Pasta: Add the chopped cooked lobster meat to the sauce and gently warm through for 1-2 minutes. Then, add the cooked pasta, tossing well to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Finish & Serve: Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley. Divide among plates and top with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a richer sauce, increase the heavy cream by another 2 tablespoons.
  • Shrimp, crab, or even imitation crab can work if you can’t find lobster.
  • Trader Joe’s refrigerated lobster bisque works best, but frozen varieties can be used–simply thaw first.
  • The recipe can easily be doubled for a crowd.
  • Add sautéed spinach or peas for a pop of green and extra nutrition.
