Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and set aside.
- Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add Sugar and Salt: Stir in sugar and salt, cook until mixture boils.
- Reach Hard Crack Stage: Cook until mixture reaches 300°F, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour and Spread: Pour hot toffee onto the prepared sheet, spread evenly.
- Add Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips, let melt, then spread into a layer.
- Top with Nuts: Sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate if desired.
