Ingredients
For the Toffee:

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Topping:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped toasted almonds or pecans (optional)
- Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Toffee: Line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil. In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, and salt. Cook until it reaches 300°F, then stir in vanilla.
- Assemble: Pour hot toffee into dish, top with chocolate chips, wait for them to melt, then spread. Add nuts and sea salt.
- Cool and Serve: Let the toffee cool, then break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
