Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if using.
  6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
