For the Margarita
- 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
- 1 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened or sweetened to taste)
- 1 oz fresh orange juice
- 3/4 oz triple sec (or Cointreau)
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz maple syrup (or to taste)
- Ice cubes
For the Rim
- 1 tbsp coarse salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Zest of 1 orange
For Garnish
- Fresh cranberries
- Orange wheels
- Cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- Prepare the Rim – On a small plate, mix together the coarse salt, cinnamon, and orange zest. Rub an orange wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into the salt mixture to coat. Set aside.
- Combine the Ingredients – In a cocktail shaker, add the tequila, cranberry juice, orange juice, triple sec, lime juice, and maple syrup. Fill with ice.
- Shake the Margarita – Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until the mixture is chilled and well combined.
- Strain and Serve – Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the margarita mixture into the glass.
