Description

This Teriyaki Beef & Pineapple Rice Stack is a delightful fusion of savory and sweet flavors, featuring tender teriyaki beef layered with fragrant jasmine rice, sweet pineapple, and aromatic seasonings. This visually appealing dish is perfect for a special dinner or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

For Teriyaki Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Rice Stack:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup diced pineapple (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Add garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and cornstarch slurry. Simmer until thickened.
  2. Assemble the Stack: Layer rice, pineapple, and teriyaki beef in a mold. Press gently to shape. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • This dish can be deconstructed and served as a rice bowl.
