Ingredients
Spice Blend:
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and salt until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
- To use, apply 1–2 tablespoons of the seasoning per pound of protein or vegetables, or mix with yogurt and lemon juice for a traditional tandoori marinade.
Notes
- This tandoori spice blend is great for marinating chicken, tofu, paneer, or vegetables.
- For a less spicy blend, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper according to your preference.
