Description
Taco Sliders are a fun and flavorful twist on traditional tacos, made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and classic taco toppings, all packed into soft slider buns.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef, stir well, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on a baking dish.
- Evenly spread the taco meat over the buns, then top with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce.
- Spread sour cream and salsa on the underside of the top buns and place them on top of the sliders.
- Brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
- Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and heated through.
- Sprinkle with chopped cilantro if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add jalapeños for extra spice.
- These sliders can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
