Description

Taco Sliders are a fun and flavorful twist on traditional tacos, made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and classic taco toppings, all packed into soft slider buns.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef, stir well, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on a baking dish.
  5. Evenly spread the taco meat over the buns, then top with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce.
  6. Spread sour cream and salsa on the underside of the top buns and place them on top of the sliders.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and heated through.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add jalapeños for extra spice.
  • These sliders can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
