Description

Ingredients

Fries:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into thin fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Nacho Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions or jalapeños for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Fries: Toss the cut fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and salt. Bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy.
  3. Make Cheese Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk. Stir in cheeses, cumin, and chili powder until smooth.
  4. Assemble: Drizzle the warm cheese sauce over the baked fries. Garnish with green onions or jalapeños.
