Description

These homemade Sweet Potato Dog Cookies are a wholesome and delicious treat for your furry friends. Made with simple ingredients like sweet potato, whole wheat flour, and applesauce, these cookies are perfect for pampering your pets.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potato
  • 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the mashed sweet potato, eggs, and applesauce until smooth.
  3. Add flour: Gradually stir in the whole wheat flour, mixing until a dough forms. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, if needed.
  4. Roll out dough: Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness and use cookie cutters to shape the cookies.
  5. Bake: Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30–35 minutes until firm and golden brown.
  6. Cool and store: Let the cookies cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
