Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the honey pepper sauce:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the creamy macaroni cheese:

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni: Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare honey pepper sauce: Whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, garlic, and pepper in a saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened. Set aside.
