Apple Filling:

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Other:
- 1 (14 oz) package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Glaze (optional):
Instructions
- Cheesecake Filling: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Apple Filling: In another bowl, combine the apple pie filling with the cinnamon.
- Assembly: Roll out the pie crusts slightly and cut into 4-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and apple filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon and seal the edges with a fork. Brush each pie with egg wash.
- Frying: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the pies in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Glaze: Optional – Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm pies or dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
Notes
- These pies can also be baked at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes for a lighter version. Allow to cool slightly before glazing.
