Description

These irresistible rolls combine the flavors of classic strawberry shortcake with creamy cheesecake, all wrapped in soft, flaky pastry—perfect for a quick and impressive dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dough or 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough or puff pastry on a lightly floured surface; press seams together if using crescent dough.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Carefully roll the dough into a log and slice into 1-inch rolls.
  6. Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling.
  • A sharp, serrated knife helps create clean slices.
  • Don’t overload the filling to avoid spilling during baking.
  • Optional: Drizzle with glaze or top with whipped cream and extra berries for added flair.
