Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet and salty with this delightful Strawberry Pretzel Salad. A crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cheesecake-like layer, and fruity strawberry topping make this dessert a true crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Pretzel Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping, thawed

Strawberry Topping:

  • 2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the Pretzel Crust: Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. Make the Cream Cheese Layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the pretzel crust.
  4. Prepare the Strawberry Topping: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, then add sliced strawberries. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure the pretzel crust is fully cooled before adding the cream cheese layer.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used as a substitute; thaw and drain before using.
