Ingredients
Strawberry Lemonade Mixture
- 3 1/2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (thawed, if frozen)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 lemons)
- 2-3 tablespoons honey or agave (adjust, to taste)
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberry Lemonade Mixture: Wash and hull fresh strawberries if using fresh. If using frozen, allow them to thaw slightly for easier blending.
- Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the strawberries, fresh lemon juice, honey or agave, and water.
- Blend: Puree the mixture until completely smooth and there are no large strawberry chunks remaining.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the blended mixture and add more honey or lemon juice as desired to suit your preference; blend again briefly if additions are made.
- Fill the Popsicle Molds: Using a funnel, carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, filling each mold evenly but leaving a small gap at the top for expansion.
- Insert Sticks: Place the lids on the molds and insert popsicle sticks through the designated slots.
- Freeze: Place the molds upright in the freezer and allow the popsicles to freeze solid for 3 to 4 hours.
- Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the molds by running warm water over the outside briefly if needed, then enjoy your refreshing strawberry lemonade popsicles.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness according to your taste preference; more or less honey/agave can be used.
- If you don’t have popsicle molds, use small cups and wooden sticks instead.
- For a thicker popsicle, reduce the water slightly or add more strawberries.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice may alter the taste.
- To avoid the popsicles sticking to the mold, briefly dip the mold in warm water before removing the popsicles.
