Description

Strawberry Fluff Salad is a light, refreshing no-bake dessert that combines the sweetness of strawberry gelatin with crushed pineapple, fresh strawberries, and fluffy whipped topping. This colorful, creamy fruit salad is perfect for summer gatherings, potlucks, or a simple, tasty treat any time of year.

Ingredients

Gelatin Mixture

  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple with juice

Salad Mixture

  • 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring well to ensure it is completely dissolved.
  2. Add Cold Water and Pineapple: Stir in 1/2 cup cold water along with the crushed pineapple and its juice. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Chill Mixture: Place the gelatin mixture in the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes or until it is slightly thickened but not fully set.
  4. Combine Salad Ingredients: Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping, sour cream, mini marshmallows, and chopped fresh strawberries. Mix carefully until all ingredients are evenly combined without deflating the whipped topping.
  5. Chill Before Serving: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to set properly before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use sugar-free gelatin and light whipped topping.
  • Add chopped bananas or pecans to the salad for extra texture and flavor.
