Description

A quick and refreshing Strawberry Banana Smoothie made with fresh strawberries, ripe banana, Greek yogurt, and milk, blended to creamy perfection. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or a nutritious snack, this smoothie is naturally sweetened and can be customized with honey or maple syrup.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 medium ripe banana

Dairy & Liquids

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Sweeteners & Others

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Remove the green tops and slice each strawberry in half to make blending easier and smoother.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a blender, add the sliced strawberries, peeled medium ripe banana, plain Greek yogurt, and milk. These ingredients form the creamy and fruity base of the smoothie.
  3. Add sweetener: For added sweetness, drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup into the blender. This step is optional and can be adjusted based on your desired sweetness level.
  4. Add ice: Add 1/2 cup of ice cubes to the blender to chill the smoothie and give it a refreshing texture. Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy, pausing to scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary to ensure even blending.
  5. Serve immediately: Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and enjoy right away to best appreciate the fresh flavors and creamy texture.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for the best flavor and creaminess.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey or maple syrup according to taste.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and milk alternatives.
  • To make the smoothie thicker, reduce the amount of milk or add more Greek yogurt.
  • If fresh strawberries are not available, frozen strawberries can be used, which will also chill the smoothie.
