Description

Strawberry Banana Bites for Dogs are a simple, healthy, and refreshing frozen treat made with natural ingredients like banana, strawberries, and plain yogurt. These bite-sized snacks are perfect for keeping your furry friend cool and happy during warm days or as a wholesome reward.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (or frozen strawberries, thawed)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, can be omitted for sugar-free version)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the banana into small pieces and chop the strawberries into small chunks. If using frozen strawberries, make sure they are thawed first to ease blending.
  2. Blend the Mixture: Place the banana, strawberries, and plain yogurt into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add the optional tablespoon of honey only if you’re certain it’s safe for your dog and want some extra sweetness.
  3. Fill the Molds: Pour the blended mixture into ice cube trays, silicone molds, silicone cupcake liners, or a mini muffin tin to create bite-sized portions.
  4. Freeze the Bites: Place the filled molds in the freezer for 2-3 hours or until the bites are completely frozen and firm to the touch.
  5. Serve and Store: Once frozen, pop the bites out of the molds and store them in an airtight container or freezer bag. Keep frozen for up to 2-3 weeks. Serve one or two as an occasional healthy treat for your dog.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients are dog-safe and avoid the optional honey if your dog has sensitivity to sugar.
  • Adjust portion sizes depending on the size and dietary needs of your dog.
  • Use plain, unsweetened yogurt without artificial sweeteners or xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • Always supervise your dog when introducing new treats and consult your vet if unsure.
  • Keep treats frozen until serving to maintain freshness and texture.
