Ingredients
For the Stir-fry Sauce:
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
For the Stir-fry:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Stir-fry Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Cook the Broccoli: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet, add broccoli, and cook until slightly tender. Transfer to a plate.
- Stir-fry the Shrimp: Add remaining oil to the skillet, sauté garlic and ginger, then add shrimp and cook until pink. Return broccoli to the skillet.
- Combine and Serve: Pour in the stir-fry sauce, toss to coat, and cook until thickened. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen shrimp—just thaw and pat dry before cooking.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or chili oil to the sauce.
