Description

This Spinach Dip Cheese Crisps recipe combines fresh spinach with a blend of creamy cheeses and flavorful spices, baked into crispy, cheesy bites perfect for snacking or serving as an appetizer. The crisps offer a delightful mix of melted mozzarella, Parmesan, and cheddar cheeses with a subtle kick from red pepper flakes, all baked to golden perfection in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the chopped fresh spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until the mixture is uniform and well blended.
  3. Form Crisps: Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the cheese and spinach mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Space each portion about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each mound slightly using the back of a spoon to form crisp shapes.
  4. Top with Cheddar: Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of each formed crisp to add extra cheesy flavor and promote browning during baking.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the crisps for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the cheese topping is bubbly and melted.
  6. Cool & Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cheese crisps cool for a few minutes. This allows them to set and become crispier. Serve warm or at room temperature as a tasty snack or appetizer.

Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing and better texture.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the red pepper flakes or add a dash of cayenne pepper.
  • Make sure to space the crisps properly to prevent them from merging while baking.
  • These crisps are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Substitute mozzarella with any mild melting cheese if preferred.
