Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 12 ounces penne or fettuccine pasta

Chicken:

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Seasoning:

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (divided)

Oil and Butter:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)

Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (like Louisiana or Frank’s)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasoning and Garnish:

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Season chicken with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Sauté in a skillet with olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter until fully cooked and browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic. Add honey, hot sauce, broth, cream, and Cajun seasoning. Simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the pan, add cooked pasta, and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust hot sauce and Cajun seasoning to taste.
  • Pair with a green salad or garlic bread.
