Description

A hearty, comforting casserole that transforms the classic Sloppy Joe into a cheesy baked pasta dish, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cans Manwich sauce
  • 12 oz farfalle (bowtie) pasta, cooked al dente
  • 1 cup shredded Velveeta
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
  3. Return beef mixture to the pot. Stir in Manwich sauce, cooked pasta, and shredded Velveeta. Mix until well combined and Velveeta is melted.
  4. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Top with shredded Colby-Jack cheese.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and flavor.
  • Add diced jalapeños, bell peppers, or mushrooms for variation.
  • Can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Other pasta types like penne or rotini work well too.
