Description

These Sliced Caramel Apple Pops are a fun and delicious treat perfect for parties or a sweet snack. Crisp apple slices are dipped in rich melted semi-sweet chocolate, then drizzled with caramel and white chocolate, and finished off with a variety of crunchy and colorful toppings such as crushed Oreos, pretzels, rainbow sprinkles, and M&M’s. The popsicle sticks make them easy to hold and enjoy, combining fresh fruit with indulgent flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup large semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Apple Pops

  • 2 large apples
  • Popsicle sticks (8 approximately)

Toppings and Drizzles

  • Caramel, for drizzling (about 1/4 cup)
  • Melted white chocolate, for drizzling (about 1/4 cup)
  • Crushed Oreos, for topping (1/4 cup)
  • Crushed pretzels, for topping (1/4 cup)
  • Rainbow sprinkles, for topping (1/4 cup)
  • M&M’s, for topping (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate coating: Bring a saucepan of water to a simmer and set a heat-safe glass bowl on top, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the bowl and stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Stir in the coconut oil until combined to create a glossy coating.
  2. Slice the apples and insert sticks: Place the apples upright on a cutting board. Slice each apple into 1/2” to 3/4” thick slices. Using a paring knife, make a small slit at the bottom of each slice and carefully insert a popsicle stick to turn each apple slice into a pop.
  3. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with wax paper and lightly grease it with cooking spray. This will prevent the chocolate-covered apple pops from sticking.
  4. Dip apple slices in chocolate: Dip each apple slice into the melted chocolate until well coated, then place them on the prepared baking sheet. Once all slices are coated, refrigerate the sheet for 8 to 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely.
  5. Add toppings and drizzles: After the chocolate has set, drizzle the apple pops with caramel sauce and melted white chocolate. Immediately sprinkle your choice of crushed Oreos, crushed pretzels, rainbow sprinkles, or M&M’s on top for extra flavor and texture. Return the apple pops to the refrigerator for about 5 minutes to set the drizzles before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm and crisp apples such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best results.
  • Ensure the chocolate coating is smooth and slightly warm for easy dipping.
  • Store leftover apple pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • The pops are best enjoyed the same day to maintain apple freshness and texture.
  • For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free chocolate and caramel sauces.
