Description

Shrimp Crab Alfredo Roll Ups combine tender lasagna noodles stuffed with a creamy mixture of ricotta, lump crab meat, and sautéed shrimp, all baked in a luscious Alfredo sauce topped with melted mozzarella cheese. This decadent seafood pasta dish is perfect for a flavorful and elegant meal that serves four.

Ingredients

Seafood Filling

  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ lb lump crab meat (real or imitation)

Cheese Mixture

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided: ¾ cup in filling, ¾ cup for topping)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Pasta

  • 8 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente

Sauce & Seasonings

  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the roll ups.
  2. Sauté Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove from heat and chop the shrimp if you prefer smaller pieces in your filling.
  3. Prepare Filling Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, lump crab meat, cooked shrimp, egg, ¾ cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until well blended.
  4. Prepare Baking Dish: Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce evenly on the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking and add flavor.
  5. Assemble Roll Ups: Lay out the cooked lasagna noodles on a clean surface. Spread a generous portion of the seafood and cheese filling on each noodle. Carefully roll each noodle tightly and place the roll ups seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Add Sauce and Cheese: Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the assembled roll ups in the dish. Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella cheese to create a golden, bubbly crust when baked.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese on top is bubbly and beautifully golden brown.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy your creamy, flavorful shrimp crab Alfredo roll ups.

Notes

  • Ensure lasagna noodles are cooked al dente to hold together well when rolling.
  • You can substitute imitation crab meat if preferred, but real lump crab adds more authentic flavor.
  • Chopping the shrimp after sautéing allows for better distribution in the filling, but you may leave them whole if desired.
  • Use a high-quality Alfredo sauce or make your own for richer flavor.
  • Allow the roll ups to rest for 5 minutes after baking for easier slicing and serving.
  • This dish can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
