Ingredients
Pasta:
- 12 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta
Shrimp & Crab:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz lump crab meat
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Creamy Cajun Sauce:
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, plus more to taste
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
- Sear Shrimp & Crab: In a skillet, cook shrimp with Cajun seasoning until pink. Set aside. Sauté onion and garlic.
- Make the Sauce: Add cream, broth, Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, and paprika to skillet. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine & Serve: Add shrimp, crab, and pasta to sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra spice, add cayenne or hot sauce to taste.
