Description

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta

Shrimp & Crab:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Creamy Cajun Sauce:

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, plus more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Sear Shrimp & Crab: In a skillet, cook shrimp with Cajun seasoning until pink. Set aside. Sauté onion and garlic.
  3. Make the Sauce: Add cream, broth, Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, and paprika to skillet. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine & Serve: Add shrimp, crab, and pasta to sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add cayenne or hot sauce to taste.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
