Description

These Sesame Crusted Prawn Toast Sliders are a delightful fusion appetizer featuring succulent prawn patties encrusted with sesame seeds, sandwiched between soft brioche buns, and topped with a zesty sriracha mayo.


Ingredients

Prawn Patties:

  • 1 lb raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 8 slider-sized brioche buns or small rolls
  • ½ cup toasted sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for pan-frying)
  • Shredded lettuce or cucumber slices for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare Prawn Patties: Combine prawns, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, egg white, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Pulse into a sticky paste. Shape into patties, coat with sesame seeds.
  2. Cook Patties: Pan-fry patties in oil until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Toast buns, mix mayo and sriracha, spread on buns, add lettuce/cucumber, patty, and bun top. Serve warm.
