Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Roll-Ups perfect for a hearty morning meal. These roll-ups combine fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage links, and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in buttery crescent dough, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Eggs

  • 5 eggs

Dough

  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Meat

  • 8 sausage links

Dairy

  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the roll-ups later.
  2. Beat Eggs: In a small bowl, beat all 5 eggs, but reserve 2 tablespoons of the beaten eggs for brushing the crescent rolls in a later step.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Using the remaining beaten eggs, scramble them gently until cooked through but still moist and fluffy.
  4. Prepare Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough on a clean work surface and separate it into 8 individual triangles.
  5. Add Cheese: Cut each cheddar cheese slice in half, placing one half on each crescent triangle.
  6. Add Filling: Spoon a portion of scrambled eggs on top of the cheese, then place one sausage link on each triangle.
  7. Roll Up: Loosely roll each crescent triangle up around the filling and arrange the roll-ups on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Brush and Season: Brush the tops of the roll-ups with the reserved 2 tablespoons of beaten eggs to promote browning, then sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until the roll-ups are golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the scrambled eggs.
  • Use turkey sausage links for a leaner alternative.
  • Make sure not to overfill the rolls to prevent leakage during baking.
  • These roll-ups can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the bake time if baking from cold.
  • Serve warm with salsa or ketchup for added flavor.
