Description

These Sausage & Ranch Biscuit Bites are savory, cheesy little appetizers perfect for parties or quick snacks. Made with seasoned pork sausage, creamy ranch dressing, sharp cheddar cheese, and flaky buttermilk biscuits, they’re baked until golden and irresistibly delicious. Ready in just 25 minutes, these bite-sized treats are guaranteed crowd-pleasers.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb pork breakfast sausage

Dairy

  • 1 cup bottled ranch dressing
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Bakery

  • 4 (6-oz) cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (20 total biscuits)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC) and lightly spray mini muffin pans with cooking spray. Setting the pans aside prepares you for assembling the biscuit bites.
  2. Cook Sausage: Place the pork breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the sausage is fully browned and no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease to avoid greasy bites.
  3. Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, bottled ranch dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated to create the flavorful filling.
  4. Prepare Biscuits: Remove the refrigerated biscuits from their cans and split each biscuit into two smaller rounds. Place each biscuit round firmly into the wells of the mini muffin tin, creating little cups to hold the filling.
  5. Fill and Bake: Spoon the sausage mixture evenly into each biscuit cup. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits turn golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can substitute pork sausage with turkey sausage for a leaner option.
  • For extra zing, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños to the sausage mixture.
  • Make sure to drain the sausage grease well to prevent soggy bottoms.
  • These bites are best served warm but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
  • Mini muffin pans can be replaced with regular muffin pans if mini pans aren’t available, but baking time may increase slightly.
