Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Flour for rolling dough
For the Toppings
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage, crumbled
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Chopped fresh chives or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the pizzas.
- Prepare the Dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and divide the pizza dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a 6-inch circle and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Cook the Sausage: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the crumbled breakfast sausage, and cook until it is browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess grease and set the cooked sausage aside.
- Scramble the Eggs: In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, then gently scramble the eggs until they are just set but still soft. Remove from heat as they will finish cooking in the oven.
- Assemble the Pizzas: Evenly sprinkle a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses over each dough circle. Distribute the scrambled eggs and cooked sausage over the cheese, then sprinkle garlic powder on top.
- Bake: Place the assembled pizzas in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crusts are golden brown and the cheese has melted completely.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizzas from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh chives or green onions if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your breakfast pizzas!
