Ingredients
Main Biscuit Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk (plus more for brushing)
- 2 tablespoons honey
For the Salted Honey Butter:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter and cut it into the flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the honey, then add the buttermilk and mix until dough comes together.
- Create Layers: Turn out dough, pat into a rectangle, fold in thirds, and repeat to create layers.
- Cut and Bake: Pat out dough, cut out rounds, place on baking sheet, brush with buttermilk, and bake for 12–15 minutes.
- Make Salted Honey Butter: Mix softened butter with honey and salt. Serve warm biscuits with the butter.

- For extra flaky layers, chill cut biscuits in the fridge for 10 minutes before baking.
