Description

Indulge in the comforting flavors of a hearty Rustic Beef Stroganoff with Egg Noodles. Tender beef strips in a creamy sauce, served over perfectly cooked egg noodles. This classic dish is easy to make and perfect for a cozy dinner with loved ones.

Ingredients

Beef Stroganoff:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or chuck, thinly sliced into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cremini or white mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Additional:

  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef strips on all sides, about 4–5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, sauté onions until softened, then add garlic and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are tender and browned.
  3. Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture, then add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return beef to the skillet, stir in sour cream, and cook briefly. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over cooked egg noodles, garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For extra richness, substitute heavy cream for some of the sour cream.
  • Chuck roast can be used for a more tender texture with longer simmering.
