Description

Learn how to make a delightful Rose Simple Syrup at home with this easy recipe. This floral-infused syrup is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to your cocktails, lattes, lemonades, and desserts.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup dried food-grade rose petals or 1 tablespoon rose water
  • optional pink or red food coloring (for color enhancement)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves.
  2. If using dried rose petals, add them to the saucepan and simmer for 5–7 minutes. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for an additional 10–15 minutes.
  3. Strain out the petals using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. If using rose water, stir it in after removing from heat. Add food coloring if desired.
  4. Let the syrup cool completely before transferring to a clean glass jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • For a stronger floral flavor, steep the rose petals longer or combine rose water and petals.
  • This syrup is ideal for cocktails, lattes, lemonades, and desserts.
