Ingredients

Roasted Garlic:

  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Dip:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roast Garlic: Slice the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35–40 minutes until soft and golden.
  3. Prepare Dip: Squeeze roasted garlic cloves into a mixing bowl. Add sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mash and stir until smooth.
  4. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
