Ingredients
Crust
- 1 tube Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough (16.5 oz)
Filling
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 8 oz Whipped Topping, thawed
Toppings
- 12 oz Fresh Raspberries (3 to 4 cups)
- 1 dry pint Fresh Blueberries (about 2 cups)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the cookie crust.
- Prepare cookie dough slices: Open the tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough and slice into 1/4 inch thick pieces.
- Form crust: Place the cookie dough slices evenly spaced on a lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan. Press the slices together and into an even layer forming the pizza crust.
- Bake crust: Bake in the preheated oven for 11-12 minutes, or until the crust is lightly browned. Remove and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Make filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate whipped topping: Beat in half of the thawed whipped topping to the cream cheese mixture until well combined, then gently fold in the remaining whipped topping to maintain a light texture.
- Assemble pizza: Spread the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
- Add fresh berries: Decorate the top with fresh raspberries and blueberries arranged to resemble the American flag – raspberries forming the red stripes and blueberries forming the blue field in the corner.
Notes
- Make sure the cookie crust is completely cooled before adding the cream cheese mixture to prevent melting.
- Use fresh, firm berries for the best presentation and texture.
- For an alternative flavor, you can use flavored whipped topping or add a bit of lemon zest to the cream cheese filling.
- Chill the assembled pizza for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
- This dessert is perfect for summer gatherings, Independence Day celebrations, or patriotic events.
