Description

Indulge in the rich, fudgy goodness of these Red Velvet Brownies with a delightful cream cheese swirl. Perfect for any occasion, these vibrant treats are sure to impress!

Ingredients

Main Red Velvet Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar

Cream Cheese Swirl (optional):

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring; mix until smooth.
  3. Incorporate dry ingredients: Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and vinegar until just combined—do not overmix.
  4. Prepare cream cheese swirl: For the cream cheese swirl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Assemble and bake: Pour red velvet batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture on top, swirl gently with a knife. Bake for 25–30 minutes until center is set.
  6. Cool and serve: Let cool completely in the pan before slicing.

Notes

  • For richer flavor, chill overnight before serving.
  • You can omit the cream cheese swirl for a simpler version.
  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with white chocolate for an extra touch.
