Ingredients
Puff Pastry Cinnamon Rolls:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 teaspoons milk or cream (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the pastry: Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Brush with melted butter, then evenly sprinkle with brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Roll and slice: Roll the pastry tightly from one edge to the other to form a log. Slice into 8 equal pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Make the glaze: While rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze.
- Glaze and serve: Let rolls cool slightly before drizzling with glaze. Serve warm for best flavor.
Notes
- Serve warm for best texture.
- Add chopped nuts or raisins to the filling if desired.
- You can double the recipe using two puff pastry sheets.
