Ingredients

Units Scale

Base Layer

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Pizza Layer

  • 1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce

Cheese & Toppings

  • 1 1/2 cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (28g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2025 slices mini pepperoni or regular pepperoni, quartered
  • 1/4 cup (30g) diced green bell pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sliced black olives (optional)

To Serve

  • Breadsticks, baguette slices, crackers, or veggie sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Creamy Base: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Spread the mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8-inch baking dish or pie plate.
  2. Add the Pizza Sauce: Spoon the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer, using a spatula to spread it evenly to the edges.
  3. Top with Cheese & Pepperoni: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the pizza sauce, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Scatter the pepperoni slices over the top, along with any optional toppings like diced bell pepper and sliced black olives.
  4. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges start to brown slightly.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven (caution: hot dish!), let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with breadsticks, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Soften cream cheese to room temperature for easier spreading.
  • Add your favorite pizza toppings such as mushrooms, onions, or jalapeños.
  • Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated; just bake before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the microwave.
