Ingredients

  • 200g udon noodles
  • 2 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional for extra spice)

Instructions

  1. Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small pan, heat the chili oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Lower the heat, and stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves and everything is well combined.
  4. Place the cooked udon noodles in a large bowl and pour the chili oil mixture over the noodles. Toss to coat the noodles evenly.
